Warren Buffett’s Go-To banker: The rise of Byron Trott

When Warren Buffett speaks, Wall Street listens. And for decades, one name has consistently drawn the Oracle of Omaha’s respect: Byron Trott. While not a household name like Buffett himself, Trott has quietly become one of the most trusted financial minds in America—especially among the country’s wealthiest families.

Trott first caught Buffett’s attention not through flashy deals, but through quiet competence and loyalty. As the founder and CEO of BDT & Company, a boutique advisory firm specializing in long-term family business strategy, Trott built a reputation for putting clients first—often declining short-term profits in favor of sustainable growth. That philosophy mirrored Buffett’s own, forging a deep mutual respect.

“Byron is the best banker I’ve ever worked with,” Buffett once said, a rare endorsement from a man who’s seen generations of financiers come and go. Their relationship goes beyond transactions; it's rooted in shared values: patience, integrity, and a belief in stewardship over speculation.

Before founding BDT & Company, Trott spent years at Goldman Sachs, where he advised Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway on key acquisitions. But it was his work with family-owned businesses, guiding them through generational transitions, mergers, and market shifts, that truly set him apart. From the Mars candy dynasty to the owners of ConAgra, Trott became the trusted advisor behind many of America’s most enduring companies.

What sets Trott apart isn’t just his financial acumen, but his approach. He doesn’t see companies as mere assets to flip; he sees families, legacies, and long-term visions. In an era of rapid trading and short attention spans, Trott and Buffett stand together in believing that the best deals are built to last.

In a world obsessed with disruption, Byron Trott is proof that some of the smartest moves in finance are the ones made quietly, thoughtfully, and with deep loyalty.

Who’s richer: Kim Kardashian or Taylor Swift?

When it comes to celebrity net worths, few names spark more curiosity than Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. As of 2026, the answer is clear: Taylor Swift edges ahead, with an estimated fortune of $2 billion, just surpassing Kim Kardashian’s $1.9 billion.

This narrow lead isn’t just about catchy songs or sold-out stadium shows—it’s about cultural impact and business savvy. Swift’s rise to the top has been fueled largely by her record-breaking Eras Tour, which wrapped up as the highest-grossing concert tour in history. Night after night, she filled arenas across the globe, drawing millions of fans and generating hundreds of millions in ticket sales, merchandise, and streaming spikes.

But her wealth isn’t just built on live performances. Streaming platforms continue to flood her coffers, with her re-recorded “Taylor’s Version” albums driving both fan loyalty and royalties. Each release becomes a major event, blending artistry with strategic branding that resonates across generations.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has built an empire of a different kind. Her fortune stems largely from her SKIMS shapewear brand, reality TV roots, and savvy social media influence. While her ventures are undeniably successful, Swift’s global music dominance—particularly in the age of live experiences, has given her the financial upper hand.

In the end, both women are powerhouses in their own right, redefining what it means to be a self-made icon in the 21st century. But right now, the crown for wealth, and perhaps cultural momentum, tilts slightly toward Nashville, not reality TV.

Kendall Jenner: From runway to rumor and reality

Long before she became a household name, Kendall Jenner was stepping onto runways and into the global spotlight as one of the most in-demand models of her generation. In 2017, she made headlines by claiming the title of the world’s highest-paid model from Forbes—a notable feat that saw her unseat the legendary Gisele Bündchen, who had held the top spot since 2002. With her face gracing major campaigns and her presence dominating fashion weeks, Jenner proved she was more than just a reality TV star turned model—she was a force in her own right.

But her ambitions didn’t stop at modeling. In 2021, Jenner took a bold leap beyond fashion and into the spirits industry with the launch of 818 Tequila. Named after her mom’s area code and her own birthday (November 8, or 8/18), the brand reflects a personal touch rooted in family and heritage. Crafted in Mexico using sustainable practices, 818 Tequila quickly gained attention not just for its celebrity backing, but for its quality and eco-conscious approach. Unlike some celebrity ventures that fade quickly, Jenner has been actively involved in shaping the brand’s identity, from production to marketing.

While she may not own a sprawling empire, Kendall Jenner’s move into entrepreneurship shows she’s more than just a pretty face, she’s a savvy businesswoman navigating a competitive market with quiet determination. Whether she’s walking the runway or building a brand, Jenner continues to redefine what it means to be a modern celebrity entrepreneur. And with 818 Tequila, she’s pouring more than just liquor, she’s pouring legacy.
