How to Escape with Leo
One of the most tense and pivotal moments in the game comes when you're faced with the question: Can I escape with Leo? The answer is yes — but only if you know where to go and when to act.
After the cutscene ends, timing and direction are crucial. Immediately turn left and head through the door just ahead. A narrow hallway will lead you to a bedroom — a quiet, dimly lit space that feels too calm for what’s at stake. Move quickly, but don’t rush blindly. To your right, just past the bed, is another door. This one opens into a small balcony access point.
Inside, you’ll spot a hamper filled with bed sheets. At first glance, it seems like nothing more than set dressing, but interact with it, and a brief cutscene triggers. In it, you and Leo bundle the sheets together, using them as an improvised rope to climb down from the balcony. It’s a heart-pounding sequence, blending urgency with a touch of improvisation that feels true to the characters’ survival instincts.
This escape isn’t just a gameplay mechanic — it’s a narrative turning point. The choice to flee together shifts the story’s momentum, deepening the bond between characters and setting up key moments later on. Just remember: left, down the hall, bedroom, then right. One wrong turn, and the moment slips away.
