Eyelash extensions fall into this category when used solely to enhance beauty, as they modify the natural state without necessity. The concern isn’t just about the act itself, but about the underlying intention: if it’s rooted in dissatisfaction with Allah’s creation or driven by societal pressure to conform to beauty standards, it raises deeper spiritual considerations.

In such cases, natural alternatives—like using halal-certified, non-damaging cosmetics or focusing on overall well-being—are encouraged.
