When Cristiano Ronaldo secured his massive £80 million transfer to Real Madrid in 2009, he made sure his mother, Dolores Aveiro, moved to Spain with him. To help her settle into her new life, he purchased a luxurious £2 million house in the city so she could be close to him.

Despite the incredible lifestyle and living in high style, supporting her son on the pitch was never easy for Dolores. Ronaldo revealed in the Player's Tribune that she would get so intensely nervous during major matches that she actually used to pass out from stress. Because of this, friends and family often had to stay home with her or monitor her closely during the biggest games of his career.
