If you are diving into ranked matches, understanding how the division system works is essential for tracking your progress. Across major competitive tiers like Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond, skill brackets are split down into smaller steps that keep the competition moving.

Each tier is divided into four distinct steps represented by Roman numerals. The progression flows from IV (4) up to I (1). That means Division 4 is always the starting point at the bottom of a tier, while Division 1 is the peak you need to conquer right before stepping up to the next major rank.

For example, if you just earned your promotion into Silver, you will begin your journey at Silver IV. As you win games and gain League Points (LP), you will climb step-by-step through Silver III and Silver II, ultimately reaching Silver I. Once you clear Division I, you enter a promotion series to break into Gold V—wait, no, you leap straight into Gold IV! Keeping this 4-to-1 climb straight helps you visualize exactly how close you are to your next milestone.
