Oral Hygiene Habits Around the World

When it comes to daily dental routines, habits vary quite a bit across different cultures and countries. While taking care of our teeth is a universal part of personal care, how consistently people stick to their brushing and flossing routines tells an interesting global story.

Interestingly, 33% of people in Italy, Argentina, and the UK say they never forget to brush their teeth. Meanwhile, Germans seem to have the upper hand when it comes to consistency, with only about 20% admitting to skipping their brushing routine.

Cleaning between the teeth with floss or interdental brushes—often considered the gold standard for preventing cavities—shows another fascinating shift in global habits. China leads the way with 21% of people regularly cleaning between their teeth, closely followed by Italy at 20% and Spain at 18%.

Ultimately, while regional differences exist, maintaining a bright and healthy smile relies on keeping up with these everyday habits, no matter where you live.
