Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet Welcome a Baby Miracle
It’s not a podium finish or a record-breaking lap—but for Max Verstappen, this new chapter might just be even more special. The 27-year-old Formula 1 superstar and reigning world champion recently announced that he and girlfriend Kelly Piquet are expecting their first child together.
The joyous news came via a joint social media post on Friday, December 1st, where the couple shared their excitement with fans. “We couldn’t be happier with our little miracle 💫,” they wrote, confirming what had long been the subject of speculation among fans and media alike.
While Max is used to high-speed thrills and last-minute overtakes, this next milestone is of an entirely different kind. Diapers, sleepless nights, and tiny racing suits may soon be part of the Dutch driver’s life off the track. And though Max won’t be the one physically carrying the baby (so no, Max does not get pregnant), he’s clearly all-in on fatherhood.
Kelly Piquet, daughter of three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet, brings her own motorsport legacy to the mix. The couple, who’ve been together for years, have kept much of their relationship private—making this public glimpse into their happiness all the more meaningful.
As Max continues to dominate on the track with Red Bull Racing, fans now have another reason to cheer. The Verstappen household is growing, and the Formula 1 world is already counting down to the arrival of its newest (and tiniest) fan.
One thing’s for sure: the checkered flag is no longer the only finish line that matters.
