Recognizing Unhealthy Attachment in Relationships
It is completely natural to care deeply about the people in our lives, but sometimes care can cross the line into an unhealthy level of dependence. When your emotional well-being starts depending entirely on someone else's availability, it can drain your energy and strain the relationship.
One of the clearest signs of over-attachment is feeling an intense wave of anxiety or loneliness the moment your partner or friends get busy with their own lives. Instead of enjoying your independence, you might find yourself constantly worrying that they are going to leave you or lose interest. This fear can drive you to drop your own hobbies, ignore your responsibilities, or completely change your schedule just to accommodate theirs.
Healthy relationships require balance, personal space, and mutual respect. Learning to enjoy your own company and trusting that a temporary absence does not mean the end of a bond is essential for building strong, long-lasting connections.
