How to Safely Dispose of Peracetic Acid

Peracetic acid is a powerful disinfectant commonly used in healthcare and laboratory settings, but its disposal requires care to avoid hazardous exposure. If you're handling this chemical, especially outside of a ventilated cabinet, safety is crucial. Should you need to dispose of a solution containing peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide, the first step is to neutralize it properly.
