How to Get Your Name Registered on Google

If you want your personal brand, professional profile, or name to show up when people search for you on Google, you can create a digital business card using Google's "Add Me to Search" feature. This is a handy way to manage your online presence directly from your mobile device.

To get started, open your phone's browser or the Google app and search for the phrase "add me to search" (or "create my search card"). If you are logged into your Google account, you will see a prompt inviting you to build your public profile.

Click on the get started prompt to fill in your information. You can add details such as your occupation, location, links to your social media profiles, website, email, and a short bio about what you do. Make sure the information is accurate and reflects how you want to present yourself online.

Once you have filled out your details, simply submit the form. Keep in mind that your card won't appear instantly; you will typically have to wait for a couple of hours for Google to review, process, and activate it. After that, anyone searching for your exact name will be able to find your official Google search card right at the top of the results page.
