Mike Tyson's Legendary Neck Training Routine

During his prime years in the boxing ring, Mike Tyson was famous for having an astonishing 20-inch neck that helped him absorb heavy impacts and deliver devastating blows. To build this extreme muscle mass, his daily conditioning routine featured a massive amount of specialized neck work.

The core of his routine relied on the traditional neck bridge. Tyson would dedicate around 30 minutes a day to performing between 200 and 500 repetitions. By bridging on both his front and back sides, he targeted every angle of his cervical spine to develop total stability and strength.

In addition to bodyweight bridges, he incorporated a neck harness loaded with extra resistance plates to handle targeted flexion and extension movements. While this high-intensity volume played a huge role in shaping his iconic physique, experts note that such extreme training requires careful preparation to avoid long-term strain.
