When discussing spinal cord function, the cervical vertebrae—especially the C3 and C5 levels—play a vital role in essential bodily movements and sensations. These segments are part of a complex network of nerves that control some of the most critical functions of the upper body.
The C3 through C5 area houses nerve pathways that are crucial for breathing.
