This rule usually applies strictly to the standing floor area right in front of the stage, where things can get a bit crowded and fast-paced. For safety reasons, anyone rocking out down there typically needs to meet that minimum age requirement.

Things work a little differently if you head up to the seated tier, often called the circle or balcony. For these areas, venues usually lower the bar to 8+ years old, meaning younger fans can still join in on the fun. However, there is a catch for anyone caught in the middle age bracket—typically kids between 8 and 14 years old. If you fall into this group and want a seat in the circle, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is 18 years or older.

On the flip side, once you hit 14, you get a lot more independence. Teenagers aged 14 and over are generally allowed to sit in the seated balcony area completely on their own without needing an adult chaperone tagging along.
