Understanding Dysentery and Its Impact on the Body

Dysentery is an intestinal infection that primarily targets the large intestine. This condition can be triggered by either bacterial or amoebic pathogens, which attack the lining of the bowel and disrupt its normal functions.

While many individuals infected with the disease experience no symptoms or only mild diarrhea, the condition can sometimes take a more aggressive turn. In more severe cases, it can progress from persistent mild chronic diarrhea into a dangerous form of severe dysentery that requires prompt medical care.
