A Safer Alternative to Bleach? Try Hydrogen Peroxide

When it comes to cleaning, many of us reach for bleach without thinking twice. But there’s a safer, more eco-friendly option hiding in plain sight: hydrogen peroxide.

Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful disinfectant that effectively kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi—without the harsh chemical punch of chlorine bleach. Unlike traditional bleach, it breaks down into nothing more than water and oxygen, making it much kinder to the environment, your skin, and most surfaces.

Another smart choice? Oxygen bleach in liquid form. While the name might be confusing, this isn’t chlorine bleach. Instead, it’s typically made from water and hydrogen peroxide.
