When you sit down to write a research report, getting the structure right makes everything flow much better. A solid research paper relies on seven core sections that guide your reader from your initial question all the way to your final insights.

You always start with an introduction to set the stage, followed by a literature review that looks at what other researchers have already discovered on the topic. Next comes your methodology, where you explain exactly how you gathered and analyzed your data. Once that is out of the way, you share your findings and results, breaking down what you actually discovered.

The second half of your paper is all about making sense of those results. In the discussion section, you interpret your data and talk about what it means in the bigger picture. After that, the conclusion wraps everything up neatly by summarizing your main takeaways.

Finally, you need a complete list of references. Making sure every source is correctly cited is essential not just for academic honesty, but to completely avoid any accusations of plagiarism.
