When looking at how money is distributed across the planet, the picture is heavily skewed toward a very small group of people. According to global wealth distribution data, economic resources are concentrated at the very top of the social ladder.

Specifically, the top 1% of adults own a massive half of the entire world's net wealth. Meanwhile, the top 10% hold about 85% of total global assets.

On the other side of the spectrum, the remaining bottom 90% of the world's population shares just 15% of the total wealth. To put this into an even broader perspective, the top 30% of adults control roughly 97% of everything, leaving only a tiny fraction for the rest of the world.
