Understanding Annoying Noise
When we talk about annoying noise, we are referring to sounds that are unpleasantly loud or excessive. These sounds often feature a repetitive pattern or a high, shrill frequency that can easily disrupt someone with normal hearing sensitivity.
This definition also covers impulsive sounds, which are quick, sharp noises that last for a very short time—usually less than a single second. They start abruptly and fade away just as fast, much like a sudden pop, bang, or sharp click.
Because our ears and brains are wired to notice sudden changes in our environment, these sharp or repetitive sounds can quickly become frustrating or distracting. Managing and minimizing unnecessary loud noises helps create a much more comfortable environment for everyone.
