Understanding Environmental Noise

Noise is defined as a collection of random acoustic waves with different frequencies and amplitudes that people perceive as unwanted or bothersome. Unlike everyday sounds that may be pleasant or informative, noise often creates an intrusive environment.

While its short-term effects mainly show up as poor concentration, distraction, and general discomfort, long-term exposure to these loud sound levels is a proven environmental health hazard that can impact overall well-being and hearing health over time.
