Next, integrity focuses on keeping data accurate and trustworthy. It means that information hasn't been altered, tampered with, or corrupted maliciously or accidentally during transit or storage. If a file changes unexpectedly, integrity controls help detect that shift immediately.

Finally, availability guarantees that systems, networks, and data are up and running whenever legitimate users need them. Even the most secure system is useless if authorized personnel are locked out during a critical moment. Balancing all three pillars ensures that security measures protect data without frustrating everyday operations.
