What Is C5 Material Grade?

When it comes to industrial valves and high-performance pump components, the material used must withstand high pressure, elevated temperatures, and corrosive environments. That’s where C5 material grade comes in—specifically designed for such demanding applications.

C5 is covered under the ASTM A217 standard, a specification for steel castings used in valves, flanges, and fittings for high-temperature service.
