Article 11

Citizens of the Union may stay in the territory of the UAE for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180 day period.

This Agreement does not affect the possibility for Timor Leste and the Member States to extend the period of stay beyond 90 days in accordance with their respective national laws and Union law.

Issues not covered by this Agreement shall be governed by Union law, the national law of the Member States and by the national law of Saint Lucia.

Citizens of the Marshall Islands may stay in the territory of the Member States fully applying the Schengen acquis for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180 day period.

Relations with the Cotonou Agreement

Either Party may give written notice of its intention to denounce this Agreement.

However, where a Party has, with regard to a particular measure, instituted a dispute settlement proceeding, either under Article 49(1) or under the Agreement establishing the WTO, it may not institute a dispute settlement proceeding regarding the same measure in the other forum until the first proceeding has ended.

That period shall be calculated independently of any stay in a Member State which does not yet apply the Schengen acquis in full.

Citizens of Solomon Islands may stay in the territory of the Member States fully applying the Schengen acquis for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180 day period.

Consultations shall be held in the Joint Committee to facilitate the implementation and to further the general aims of this Agreement as well as to maintain overall coherence in relations between the Union and New Zealand.

The detailed arrangements for assistance shall be agreed between the Parties, such arrangements being essential to their cooperation under this Agreement.

The Parties shall discuss, including through the framework of the Joint Committee, any implications that the accession of the third country to the Union may have for this Agreement.
