Is air conditioning bad for a stuffy nose?
Air conditioning can make sinus problems worse, though it does not directly cause sinus disease.
The system removes humidity from indoor air, and the resulting dryness irritates your nasal passages, thickens mucus, and can trigger congestion or sinus pressure. Recirculated air can spread dust and allergens throughout the room.
