Common Examples of Strong Acids You Should Know
When we talk about strong acids, we’re referring to substances that completely dissociate in water, releasing hydrogen ions and creating highly conductive, reactive solutions. These acids play crucial roles in both industrial processes and everyday chemistry.
Some of the most well-known strong acids include hydrochloric acid (HCl), frequently found in laboratory settings and even in your stomach as part of gastric juice. Another familiar example is sulfuric acid (H2SO4), widely used in car batteries and fertilizer production. It’s powerful, corrosive, and essential in many chemical manufacturing processes.
