The Parties recognise the contribution to the goal of sustainable development that can be made by promoting mutually supportive trade, environment and labour policies and reaffirm their commitment to promoting global and bilateral trade and investment in such a way as to contribute to that goal.

The Parties shall pay particular attention to the links between organised crime and the trafficking of narcotics, precursors, hazardous materials and weapons, human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
