With regard to the secondary industry, the traceability system shall at minimum cover transportation from the primary industry and all subsequent stages until the point of export.

National treatment and market access for goods

Before taking any measure against the vessel, the master, the crew or the cargo, with the exception of measures aimed at protecting evidence, Senegal shall organise, at the request of the EU, within one working day of notification of the detention of the vessel, an information meeting to clarify the facts which have led to the vessel being detained and to explain what further action may be taken.

The signature of the inspection report by the master shall be without prejudice to the vessel owner's right of defence in respect of the infringement concerned.

A copy of the inspection report and the notification of the infringement shall be transmitted electronically by Madagascar to the EU within 72 hours.

The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures as defined in the WTO TBT Agreement and to sanitary and phytosanitary measures (hereinafter referred to as SPS measures ) as defined in the WTO SPS Agreement, in so far as they affect trade between the Parties.
